African American Art Paintings:
Throughout the last several hundred years, African American artists have chronicled the struggles and accomplishments of African Americans. Throughout history, the African American art world has had a profound but sometimes overlooked impact on the American community. The paintings depict poverty and the motivation that drove African Americans to migrate North. When the paintings depict the North, they show African Americans being exploited in dangerous industries and living in harsh conditions. The hope for a better life is what keeps them going, but the struggles are the same as in the South, just in a different location and setting.
